Our Lady of Remedios Capital in South Goa; is an age-old place of worship that traces its origins back to 1630. The Jesuits established the Church in 1630. The architecture you witness now is the result of renovation in 1807. Formerly known as Vodlem Ghor, Fernandes House is one of the oldest palaces in Goa. The mansion dates back roughly 500 years and is renowned for its history and beautiful architecture. One of the Fernandes family presently owns the historic building. There are 25 rooms with the essence of Hindu and European architecture and old artefacts on display for visitors. This mansion has a secret basement for hideaway, riddled with gunshot holes, and an escape tunnel.

Constructed in the 19th century, Mae De Deus Church is one of the prettiest churches in the village of Saligao in the Indian state of Goa. This church houses the miraculous statue of Mae de Deus (Mother of God) brought from the ruins of the convent of Mae de Deus at Old Goa.
