Swargarohini behaves as a watershed between the Yamuna and Bhagirathi Rivers and is a popular trekking destination.

The Swargarohini Mountain Range is believed to be the only path to reach heaven in human form. Legends say that the Pandavas traversed this path to ascend to heaven. Yudhishthira, one of the Pandavas, was the only one who made it to heaven, accompanied by a dog. The sacred Satopanth Lake lies in the Chaukhamba and is considered holy and pure. A popular belief that Lord Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahesh took a bath in these waters. Hindus believe a holy dip in this lake can absolve one's sins, so thousands of devotees visit it annually. Swargarohini Trek is a challenging high-altitude trek located in Uttarakhand, India. The trek distance is a total of 680 KM by taxi and 78 KM on foot which is to be completed in 13 days. This trek is not for beginners as the difficulty is high. It requires proper gear and clothing for sub-zero temperatures. The trek offers panoramic views of the Himalayan ranges, pine forests, different varieties of flora and fauna, and a bona fide Garhwali culture.
