One of the amazing treks in the Himalayan region is the trek from Dehradun to Kedarkantha. The trek surpasses numerous small towns and villages where the trekkers set up their camp to rest. Today we are going to talk about one such small lake named as “Juda-ka-Talab”. At 9,100 feet above sea level, Juda ka Talab is a shallow high-altitude lake situated halfway between Sankri and the peak of the Kedarkantha trekking. This lake is in a stunning location with beautiful Himalayan scenery. For all the hikers, this is a lovely camping location and is typically used for overnight camping. After spending a freezing night at Juda ka Talab, you can trek further to Kedarkantha base camp at a height of 11, 250 feet. It would take around 2.5 hours to travel the 4 kilometres from Juda Ka Talab to this Kedarkantha base camp at a steady speed. This path also starts out through some dense forests of oak and pine trees before passing through some difficult ridges and denser regions. On this journey, though, you will see a lot of shepherd houses in the open meadow sections, which makes for a very beautiful sight. Soon after the base camp, you will be taken to Kedarkantha peak.&nbsp;

The striking and breathtaking 360-degree panorama of Uttarakhand's snow-capped peaks is intoxicating and impossible to express in writing. The distance from Sankri to Juda ka Talab is about 4 km which will take approximately 4 hrs to complete. You can spend a nice evening at the lovely Juda Ka Talab, which is accessible by crossing a few creeks and stands of lush oaks. You will be given snacks and meals to explore the area to the fullest. You will sleep in the tents at night near the Talab area.

<li>Winter is the best time to experience the beauty of the frozen lake and snow around the place at Juda ka Talab. December marks the start of the winter's snowy weather. Snow covers the trail starting in December and lasts until the final week of April. Although trekking in the winter appears to be a little risky and you have to carry a large pile of clothes to protect yourself from the winds of the cold season. However, you will have the best trekking experience of your life in the snow-cold mountains near the Juda ka Talab.</li>
<li>One can also visit the Juda ka Talab in the summer of May. Summertime temperatures often range between 15 and 17 degrees Celsius. Even in the summer, you should take thermals because evenings might be colder than daytime temperatures. In summer you can experience the green bushy forest of the hills with several flowers all around. A true nature lover can visit the Juda-ka-Talab during this season also.&nbsp;</li>
<li>However, travel according to your preference and comfort. Moreover, it is suggested to visit the talab in the winter to experience the snow-covered mountains along with little flora and fauna.&nbsp;</li>

The temperature at the highest campsite in the winter season at Juda ka Talab will be between 0 and -10 degrees Celsius at night. The daytime is typically sunny and mild. In summers and monsoons, the days will be bright and the temperature will be approximately 12-20 Degrees Celsius in the daytime whereas the evenings begin to cool off and the nights become noticeably cooler (-2 to 8 Degrees Celsius). Although people can visit anytime to Juda ka Talab still December to April are the ideal months to go. In winter you can experience the snow-covered tall alpine trees and the scenic view of snow-covered mountains.&nbsp;
