Start your journey back towards Jakhol village via Dhara. Seek blessings at the Bancha temple again while on your way back to Sankri. After seeking blessings at the last temple of the village reach Jakhol village after crossing the Dhara Valley. After reaching Jakhol take a taxi ride to Sankri. Visit the Someshwar temple which is situated towards the right of the Supin river. Overnight stay at Sankri.

Sankri is the starting point of the journey towards the Dev Kyara Bugyal Trek. Sankri is located in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand. It is a beautiful hamlet which is situated at an altitude of 1950 m above sea level. Witness the local culture as well as a panoramic view of the Himalayas. This beautiful hamlet is covered with snow when winter sets in. The village of Sankri provides several activities such as:

The journey of our trek to Dev Kyara Bugyal Trek starts in Dehradun. Dehradun is the capital of Uttarakhand. From Dehradun, the distance to Sankri is approximately 210 KM and the ride from Dehradun to Sankri provides immaculate beauty and many picturesque views along the way. Each point of this journey is very beautiful.

Distance: 19 KM (by taxi), 6 KM (2500 m)

Start travelling from the village of Sankri towards Jakhol by taxi. Trek to Dhara Valley from Jakhol village. On the way to Dhara valley, you will pass through majestic mountains, meadows, fields, and a beautiful route. After crossing the Dhara valley you will reach Bancha Thatch which is situated at an altitude of 2200 mt. The Bancha Thatch is a temple famous for its exquisite architecture and is the last temple of the village. Obra is just a km away from Bancha Thatch where you will stay overnight.

Distance: 8 KM

The trek distance between Obra and Bhawa is 6 KM. Bhawa divides the Obra valley and offers a panoramic 3600 view wherever you look. In the north direction, you will find the village of Fhitari, and towards the right side, we have the Dev Kyara Bugyal where our expedition is heading.

Distance: 5 KM

While travelling from Bhawa to Dev Kyara you have to have to walk throughout the day on the grass slopes which provides a very unique feeling and aura that you must witness to unravel all the tensions and worries of your life. After walking on the grass slopes, you will reach Daowdu which is situated at an altitude of 5,500 m. The next destination from Daowdu is Ranglana Pick which is at a height of 6100 m. After crossing all these places camp at Dev Kyara’s beautiful meadows.

Distance: 13 KM

After camping on the comfortable beautiful meadows of Dev Kyara we start our journey back towards the Obra valley. On the way back to Obra, witness again the mesmerizing views throughout the route and experience serenity. It is a long journey back so it is advised to start in the early morning as it gets you a head-start and you will reach the Obra village fast at an appropriate time.
