Shendurny Wildlife Sanctuary is home to a wide variety of birds. Birdwatchers can explore the sanctuary and observe the different species of birds. Birds such as Malabar Grey Hornbill, Nilgiri Wood Pigeon, Grey Jungle Fowl, White-bellied Treepie, and Great Indian Hornbill can be seen here.

They offer two types of trekking programs which includes hard trekking and soft trekking. Some of the popular hard trekking is Sky Walk, Reservoir Walk and Wet ‘N’ Wild trial.

Camping is a great way to explore the sanctuary and enjoy the outdoors. There are many camping sites available in the sanctuary. Camping programmes are arranged at a camp near the beautiful reservoir, called the Idimuzhangan camp. The jungle camp package starts from INR 1400/person.

Boating is one of the activities that can be done in Shendurny Wildlife Sanctuary. The sanctuary has many lakes and rivers and boating is a great way to explore the sanctuary and enjoy the scenery.

The Thangassery Light House is a historic lighthouse in Thangassery, Kollam district, Kerala. It was built in 1902 and is situated on the beach of Thangassery.
