Anchuruli Waterfalls (also spelled Anjuruli) is a surreal spot absolutely worth visiting, located among the gushing locations in Western Ghats Land and presenting a beautiful view of the semi-evergreen woods grasslands. The water from the Erattayar River is used to power the Idukki hydroelectric project. A 2-kilometer-long tunnel connects Erattayar and Anchuruli, transporting water to the lake. The Cheruthoni Dam, located in Kerala's Idukki District, is the largest concrete gravity dam close to the Idukki Arch Dam, standing 138 meters tall. This third-highest dam in the country, built across the Periyar River, was built in 1976 as part of the Idukki Hydroelectric project, together with two other dams, Kulamavu and Idukki. The dam is maintained by the Kerala State Electricity Board, which also leases boats for the two-hour voyage between Kulamavu and Idukki. Visitors are captivated by the beauty of this location.
