Ajmer Sharif Dargah is also known as Ajmer Dargah. This place is sacred not only for Muslims but also for those who believe in different religions in India. Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti was a great Sufi saint and dedicated his entire life to the poor. Ajmer Sharif was built by the Mughal Emperor Humayun. The Dargah has various ingredients like Tombs, courtyards, and Daalaans. The major among these structures are - Nizam Gate, Buland Darwaza, Jama Masjid, Aulia Masjid, Mehfilkhana, and about a dozen of other prominent establishments.&nbsp;

Ajmer Dargah is a spiritual place and a very peaceful space. It is said that when the Sufi Saint Mohiddin Chishti Sahab turned 114 years old, he shut himself up for 6 days and gave up his life. Hazrat Khwaja Moin-Ud-Din Chishti is considered to be the propagator of the Islamic religion in India who has spread the religion of Islam. Ajmer Dargah is visited by thousands of people who believe in different religions. It is believed that every wish made with pure heart and intention at Dargah gets fulfilled.

It is believed that Salim Chishti Sahab who had turned 114 years old, after which he kept himself locked for 6 days and sacrificed his life, on this occasion, a festival is celebrated there at Ajmer Sharif Dargah. The main entrance of the holy tomb remains closed at night but on this occasion, the doors of this dargah are open for 2 to 3 hours which looks amazing. Ajmer Sharif Dargah is decorated in a grand way, decorated with very nice lights, and looks bright.

This dargah was built by the Mughals in the Mughal architecture style in the 13th century. Many types of qawwali and famous songs are organised in this dargah. Dargah is guarded by silver railings and marble screens. Outside of the Dargah, there is a small market where pilgrims can buy offerings. You can see various khadims and fakirs in the Dargah.

The best time to visit Ajmer Sharif is in the first six days of the Rajab month. Because the famous Urs fair was organised at the same time. Dargah is filled with pilgrims in the Rajab month. Also, the best months to visit Ajmer Sharif Dargah are October to March which includes the monsoon and winter seasons when the weather remains pleasant.
