In Goa, the Portuguese constructed the Church of Our Lady of Miracles in the sixteenth century. Because St. Jerome was the object of the church's original devotion, it also goes by the name St. Jerome Church. It is thought that the church was constructed over a temple since the Portuguese demolished many Hindu monuments in order to advance Christianity. The new name is the Church of our Lady of Miracles. The temple was built in the eighteenth century and the shrine is devoted to Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Vishnu. When Goa was captured by the Portuguese, the idol of the temple was relocated to Salcete in the sixteenth century. The temple complex has beautiful wooden carvings, and paintings, a gallery that has preserved musician’s records, and a sacred water tank. You will find lots of devotees here, especially during the Shukla Chaturdashi for the procession.&nbsp;

The fort is famous for the battles that were fought between Vijayanagar and Bijapur empires. It is located in <a href="https://universaladventures.in/city/Margao" target="_blank">Margao</a> in Salcete, South Goa, and was built out of laterite stones. It is majestic and witnesses, several tourists, throughout the day. The fort has been ruined to quite an extent, some sections of the wall and the old gate of arms still see a lot of tourists pouring over from nooks and corners of the world.

One of the churches in Goa, the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary is now recognized as a World Heritage site. It was built after Goa had been conquered by the Portuguese and was built on the orders of Afonso de Albuquerque. The church has splendid architecture and beautiful designs of Gothic mains. The church's signature feature is an inscription written in 1510 by Afonso de Albuquerque commemorating the conquest of Goa.

A Portuguese king gave the Braganza family this land in exchange for building a magnificent home, which the sisters of the family eventually came to inherit. All visitors receive a guided tour from a member of their family or a representative. The Braganza Mansion is a magnificent structure with a footprint of approximately 10,000 square meters. The mansion's west wing houses a beautiful library with a collection of more than 5000 books and hand-painted ceilings.
