About Upper Mustang Trek from Kathmandu:
- Our arrival at Kathmandu marks the exciting start of our journey. The first two days we will devote ourselves to sightseeing around Kathmandu which is filled with wonders such as Pashupati Nath, Boudha Nath and more.
- From today our adventure will begin as we reach Pokhara, fly to Jomson and then trek to Kagbeni, a day full of adventure.
- The following day we will trek to Chele after climbing through many ridges and along the beautiful Kali Gandaki River.
- The next day we will trek to Chele through the east bank of the Kali Gandaki, we will go through Tangbe village with Mt.Nilgiri as a majestic backdrop as well.
- The following day we will have a steep trail alongside the copper red canyon and through beautiful Samar village we will reach our destination Syangboche. Leaving Syangboche behind we will enter Ghama by crossing Nya Li pass.
- On the next day, we will trek to the driest part of our trek, Charang. We will see splendid statues and thangkas and experience the remote countryside.
- The following day we will visit the hidden Tibetan gem called Lo Manthang. The next day will be exciting as we will explore this wonderful walled city, Lo Manthang exploring the monasteries, forts and history of this magnificent place.
- Leaving Lo Manthang behind we will trek through Charang Valley and cross Dhi pass to reach Dhamkar. We will now trek back to Syangboche with the beautiful sights of Dhaulagiri and Nilgiri.
- The following day we will trek back to Chhusang which lies between two hills. Our last trekking stands before us as we trek back to Jomsom and explore this beautiful village while we prepare for our departure.
- We will fly back to Pokhara early in the morning and then take another flight back to Kathmandu which would complete our journey. We will prepare for our final departure from Kathmandu the next day.
Know before you book
Know Before you go for the Trek:
- Children under the age of 15 should always have a supervisor with them at all times.
- The instructor reserves the right to reject any participant deemed unfit to be part of the activity.
- The activity might be delayed or postponed due to weather conditions. In such a scenario, please communicate with your trek coordinator.
- Participants with Diabetic issues, heart problems, breathing problems, high blood pressure, epilepsy, etc should be extra cautious about their health.
- Participants should not have liver or kidney issues.
- Participants must pay attention to the guidelines given by the guide during the trek.
- Avoid consuming heavy food or alcoholic beverages.
- Drink efficient water and walk slowly, no need to rush.
- Guidelines issued by the respective Government are to be followed. Social distancing is to be maintained. Frequent hand sanitization and the use of masks are recommended.
- ID proof is mandatory for each guest when booking and upon arrival.
- Carry enough winter garments as well as hiking gear such as hiking boots, backpacks, neck warmers, etc.
- If participants feel unwell at any moment they should contact the guide and not avoid or push themselves.
