  • Paradise for the trekkers in India, Uttarakhand has another gem to offer to us, the Himalayan mountains in Uttarakhand presented us with one of the best trails, also a historical trail. It gives us a taste of the splendid small villages located above the height of 8000 ft covered with pine, rhododendron forests, and picturesque scenes and takes us to enormous Kedarnath, spiritual land, and a true beauty all for us to enjoy.
  • The stunning Khatling glacier, Masartal, Masar Lake, Mayali glaciers, Vasuki top, and more splendid locations are spread out throughout this trail. The picturesque and bewitching views will be all we need to keep us going.

About Mayali Pass Trek from Rishikesh or Ghuttu:

  • Leaving behind Rishikesh and getting on an 8-9 hour drive to Ghuttu will be our starting point.
  • The trek starts with an uphill climb towards Reehi village from Ghuttu village, a beautiful village where we'll stay overnight.
  • The next day, we will trek up to 8500 ft high to reach the mesmerising village called Gangi, the last village on the trail.
  • The following day passes through Deokhri Channi to deep green forestry to reach Kharsoli, a beautiful meadow where we'll stay the night.
  • Another incline is ahead of us today as we leave behind the beautiful meadow and come across Chowki, residing beside the beautiful Doodh Ganga river. 
  • The following day we will be descending just a little bit to reach Masar Tal. The stunning lake and serene beauty of nature give us company as we stay overnight. 
  • Early in the morning, the next day, we will leave Masar Tal to reach Vasuki Tal through the Mayali pass.  We will stay overnight here beside the lake at Vasuki Tal.
  • The following day is one of the highlights of our journey as we will be reaching the devoted shrine of Kedarnath, a 3-4 hour trek will lead us there and we'll stay at a hotel there. 
  • The following day we will wake up early in the morning and have a descent journey from Kedarnath to Gaurikund where we’ll stay overnight. 
  • The final day of our journey is upon us, from Gaurikund to Rishikesh, a scenic drive is ahead of us. After reaching Rishikesh we will proceed with our final departure on the way back home, bidding goodbye to the beautiful memories made here.

Know Before You Book Mayali Pass Trek with Kedarnath Darshan:

  • For safety purposes, this activity is not recommended for women who are more than 3 months pregnant, anyone that has had major surgery has a broken leg/arm, has chronic back or neck pains, etc.
  • The instructor reserves the right to reject any participant deemed unfit to be part of the activity.
  • The activity might be delayed or postponed due to weather conditions. The next best possible time slot will be informed in such a scenario.
  • Participants are not allowed to carry any sharp object, lighter, luggage bag, alcohol, knife, etc
  • Participants are requested to report at the venue at least 30 minutes before their chosen time slot. Timings must be strictly followed, as the activity is strictly time constraint
  • Participants must pay attention to the guidelines given by the instructor before and after the activity.
  • Avoid consuming heavy food or alcoholic beverages before and after the activity.
  • Any personal expenses or items of personal nature will not be included in the package. Any meals or transfers not mentioned in the itinerary are to be considered an exclusion in the deal.
  • Guidelines issued by the respective State-Government are to be followed. Social distancing is to be maintained. Frequent hand sanitization and the use of masks are recommended.
  • ID proof is mandatory for each guest at the time of booking, and also upon arrival. PAN card will not be considered valid address proof.
  • All foreign nationals must share their passport and visa details at the time of booking, and also upon arrival.

How To Reach


By Air:Jolly Grant Aiport, Dehradun is the closest airport positioned at a distance of 35 KM from the city. One can hire a taxi, a cab or a bus from the airport to reach Rishikesh.

By Road:Rishikesh is connected with the major national highways and thus, makes transportation via road convenient from almost all major cities of India.

By Train:Rishikesh Railway Station(RKSH) serves the city but receives a few trains from other cities, so, you may choose Haridwar Railway Station(HW) as an alternative to reach Rishikesh from major cities.
