Located in the beautiful mountains of Uttarakhand, Kedarnath Temple is one of the holiest temples of Lord Shiva and part of the Char Dham Yatra. As I reached the temple after the long trek, the first view of the temple surrounded by snow-covered mountains left me speechless. Kuari Pass was my first trek in North India, and it turned out to be an unforgettable experience. I had a lot of planning to do, but my coordinator Kajal Agarwal was incredibly supportive throughout. Starting from my travel plan from Delhi, she shared detailed information about travel agencies, transport options, and even hotel stays—something not every trekking agency usually helps with. This made a huge difference and gave me a lot of confidence, especially since I am a solo traveler from Tamil Nadu and it was my first time in North India. A big thanks to Kajal Agarwal for her constant support and guidance. Because of her help, this trek became a wonderful experience that I will always remember.

It was a longtime dream come true moment, that i finally Gotto trek and climb the most beautiful and mesmerizing peak of Kedarkanta of Uttarakhand. All this happened because of the best choice i made choosing UNIVERSAL ADVENTURE like randomly I got to surf through the Instagram account of them and i found it very perfect and it really turned out to be the best one. Starting from Dehradun to teaching back to Dehradun, Universal Adventure took care of every single thing perfectly to host the trekkers like us, the perfect ground staff who helped me to guide through the pickup point earliest in the morning, the driver of my Traveller was so humble and kind to drive us through Dehradun to Sankari very safely and got Ur more comfortable drive through and also the driver who got us back to Dehradun safely at night.

About the Kuari Pass:
- On the very first day of the hike, get a taste of the spectacular mountain scenery that will be throughout our trek. As you ascend, you'll be greeted with a magnificent vista of enormous peaks that will follow you all the way. The real draw of this walk is the up-close and intimidating vistas of the Himalayas, which can be found at the Kuari Pass Trek.
- The 12,800 ft hike also gives you views of the Dronagiri, Chitrakantha, Chaukhamba, and Tali peaks. The intermingling of mesmerising Himalaya meadows called Bugyals and beautiful forests of oaks makes your trail breathtakingly beautiful. During the trek, you can also enjoy breathtaking views of sacred rivers like Bhagirathi and Alakananda, interact with local and remote communities of Gwarhal, Uttarakhand and enjoy their cultures/traditions and cuisine.
About the Kuari Pass Trek from Rishikesh:
- The journey begins with an exciting note as we get on a scenic drive of about 255 km, which will take around 9-10 hours to reach Joshimath.
- Our trekking journey begins the next day, first with yet another scenic drive to Tugasi/Karcho after breakfast. After exploring this peaceful village, our trek begins to reach Gulling, which is our base camp for the night.
- The next day, after breakfast, an exciting trek is ahead of us as we make our way to Khulara. Our trail will be lush green and filled with oak and pine trees and hold majestic views of Kamet, Nanda Devi, Dunagiri, Haath-Ghori and Neelkanth.
- The next day is a big day for us as we will trek to our main location and our final climb, the Kuari Pass Trek. Excellent opportunity to witness the mesmerising sunrise of the Himalayas as we trek and get bewitching 360-panoramic views of the Himalayas from the top.
- Our descent will begin the next day as we descend to Tugasi while exploring the remote villages of Garhwal, Uttarakhand, like Karcho and Karachi, while our trail is surrounded by Pine and Oak forests mostly. After arriving at Tugsi and resting, we will hop on a drive back to Joshimath.
- The final day of our journey has come and we are ending it on the same note as we began it with, a scenic drive to Rishikesh to end our journey.

Know Before You Book Kuari Pass Trek
- It takes some time to acclimatize to high altitudes because the climate there is different from that in the lowlands.
- During any calamities or natural disasters, the guides maintain total control over the route.
- Children under the age of 15 should always have a supervisor with them at all times.
- The instructor reserves the right to reject any participant deemed unfit to be part of the activity.
- The activity might be delayed or postponed due to weather conditions. In such a scenario, please communicate with your Kuari Pass trek coordinator.
- Participants with Diabetic issues, heart problems, breathing problems, high blood pressure, epilepsy, etc should be extra cautious about their health.
- Participants with liver or kidney issues should be careful.
- Participants must pay attention to the guidelines given by the guide during the trek.
- Avoid consuming heavy food or alcoholic beverages while trekking to Kuari Pass.
- Drink efficient water and walk slowly, no need to rush.
- Guidelines issued by the respective Government are to be followed. Social distancing is to be maintained. Frequent hand sanitization and the use of masks are recommended.
- ID proof is mandatory for each guest at the time of booking and upon arrival.
- Carry enough winter garments as well as hiking gear such as hiking boots, backpacks, neck warmers, etc.
- If participants feel unwell at any point, they should contact the guide and not avoid or push themselves.
- To protect the ecological stability of our travel places avoid plastic bags and do not pollute the campsites or nearby sites.
- Mobile connection and computer charging points may or may not be available at all campsites at all times.
- Bring enough water and snacks to keep yourself hydrated and full throughout the Kuari Pass Trek.
- Carry minimum luggage, the more you have, the more trouble.
- An additional cost of transportation from Haridwar Railway Station to other locations is available on request.
