How to Reach Harsil:

  • By Air: Jolly Grant Airport is the nearest airport and well connected domestically and has regular flights from major cities. 
  • By Train: Dehradun Junction is the nearest railway station and is connected well with other cities. 
  • By Road: You can take government-run buses or private buses. You can also prefer your private vehicle as well.   
  • The journey begins from Dehradun as we drive to the holy Gangotri and stay overnight there.
  • In the morning, wake up and have breakfast, as we have a long trek from Gangotri to Chirbasa to Bhojbasa. The trek route is beautiful, peaceful, and calm covered with forested areas. The campsite is located in Bhojbasa.
  • The next morning, we will have a healthy breakfast and start the trek from Bhojbasa to the calm and therapeutic Tapovan. The views are majestic and the air is so positive. We will spend the night at the base camp in Tapovan.
  • The next morning, we will trek to Nandawan from Tapovan, a short trek and enjoy the beauty of nature and stay there overnight.
  • From Nandawan, we will trek to Vasuki Tal, a very beautiful and peaceful place, we will enjoy camping there under the starry skies by the bonfire.
  • From Vasuki Tal, we will trek to Khara Pathar, a 6 km trek that has a rough path, and spend the night over there.
  • The next morning, we will trek to Shweta Glacier from Vasuki Tal, the trek route is tough and adventurous. We will spend the night there.
  • The next morning, we will trek to the most awaited destination of all, Kalindi. The trail is tough and requires patience to trek and the guides will ensure your safety. We will camp at the destination, gaze stars from the campsite by the bonfire, and have hot meals.
  • From Kalindi, we will trek to Kalindi Pass and watch out for the most stunning and heavenly views of our trekking journey from there we will trek back to our main campsite to Raja Parv and enjoy the campsite views.
  • The next morning, we will trek from Arwa tal to Ghastoli, situated at the Indo-China border. The trek route is covered with heavy snow and so it becomes tough to trek and can take time to reach the destination depending on the weather conditions.
  • The next morning, we will trek to Mana Village and from there we will drive back to Badrinath and stay there overnight.
  • On the last day of the trek, we will drive back to Dehradun from Badrinath.

By Train:Dehradun Terminal Railway Station(DDN) serves the city excellently connecting it with cities like- Delhi, Mumbai, Lucknow, Kolkata, etc. Then you may hire a taxi or an autorickshaw.
