Day 1

  • Haridwar to Jayalgarh | Learn the Basics of Rafting

  • Early in the morning, drive from Haridwar to Jayalgarh's deluxe camp on the banks of the Alaknanda River.
  • Get a briefing on rafting strategy and protective tactics from your rafting leader after breakfast.
  • Visit the Lower Alaknanda from Jayalgarh to Devprayag, the junction of the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers, for a white water rafting consultation.
  • The rafting instructors will teach you various paddling methods, flips, re-flips, 'Eddy in', 'Eddy out,' navigation strategies, and rescue abilities on the way to Deorprayag.
  • Within the evening, return to the camp at the end of the rafting excursion.

Day 2

  • Jayalgarh to Chamoli | Start from Grade II rapids until Nandaprayag

  • After arriving in Chamoli, relax for a while before beginning your river rafting adventure on the Upper Alaknanda.
  • The day will start with a fast fitness drill followed by some white water rafting.
  • This day will include rafting through 14 to 15 rapids ranging in difficulty from Grade II to IV+ over three to four hours till arriving in Nandaprayag.
  • The voyage leader gives them another briefing on safety procedures and local customs and lifestyles late at night.
  • Camp along the river's edge and spend the night in tents.
  • Overnight live in Nandaprayag.


Day 3

  • Rafting from Nandaprayag to Karanprayag | Paddle like a Pro
  • Karnaprayag
  • After a delicious meal inside the morning, get ready for the most difficult day of the expedition, which will require navigating a series of Grade IV/IV+ rapids.
  • This rafting route, which runs from Nandaprayag to Karnaprayag, contains roughly 20 rapids and takes about five hours to complete.
  • The day will start with a fast fitness drill followed by some white water rafting.
  • While rafting is available down the 'Hillary Fall' swiftly, named after the legendary climber who was unable to move up the speedy in his Jetboat during his 'Ocean to Sky' trek.
  • At Karnapraya, where the Pinder River meets the Alaknanda, the river rafting journey comes to an end.

Day 4

  • Karnaprayag to Gauchar | Boast your rafting skills

  • This day's stretch is a rafting route that takes around four hours to paddle through Grade III+ to IV rapids from Karanprayag to Gauchar via ten to twelve rapids.
  • End the day's consultation by struggling with the Alaknanda's white waters and relaxing after a long day at camp on the beautiful shores of Gauchar.
  • Overnight live in Gauchar.


Day 5

  • Raft from Gauchar to Rudraprayag | Depart to Haridwar with numerous adventurous memories
  • Haridwar
  • After breakfast, get ready for the final day of rafting from Gauchar to Rudraprayag, which comprises meandering from the Alaknanda's highest portions, which feature Grade III+/IV rapids.
  • The drive to Rudraprayag would take four to five hours, including a lunch stop.
  • Just before arriving in Rudraprayag, come across the Grade 5 rapid known as 'Kakkar Fall,' which is a massive gorge within the river.
  • Finish your tour near Rudraprayag, where the Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers meet.
  • From here, it will take you around four hours to arrive in Haridwar, where you can continue your adventure.
