- A tiny town in India's Karnataka state is called Belur. It is well-known for its expansive temple complex, which is a major Buddhist pilgrimage destination in South Asia. The Abhinaya-mahalaka, also known as "the Theatre of Dramatic Arts," is the major draw in Belur Temple.
- One of the biggest and oldest sculptures in the world is purported to be located in Halebidu. An elephant-headed guy with a statue that is almost 100 feet tall. Other spectacular remains at the location, including temples and tombs that date back thousands of years, are also there.
