About Mount Agung Sunrise Trekking in Bali:
- The fifth-highest volcano in Indonesia, Mount Agung is the highest mountain in Bali. We provide two separate climbs up Mount Agung.
- The Pura Besakih Beginning point takes you to the higher western summit, and the Pasar Agung Starting point leads to the southern peak.
- From Pura Besakih, trekking begins at roughly 11:30 PM and takes about 12 hours in total. From Pasar Agung, we begin at about 2:00 AM, and it takes about seven to eight hours to complete the hike.
- Regardless of the journey you choose, you will begin rising through the jungle before coming to difficult rocky terrain to reach the peak.
- At the top, it can get pretty cold and windy, but it will all be worth it as the sun starts to rise and changes the sky into a multiplicity of purple, red and orange hues.
- With the sun gradually rising from the horizon, you will be able to view the entire island of Bali from above, as well as the neighbouring islands of Lombok and Nusa Penida.
