About the Manimahesh Trek:

  • After you reach the Pathankot Cantt Railway station, meet our representative and your trek guide.
  • Set out on the 28-kilometre, 2,000-meter ascent from Pathankot to Manimahesh Lake. It is a challenging but rewarding trek.
  • The trek starts in Pathankot, where you meet a representative and drive to Bharmour via Chamba. Stay overnight in Bharmour and visit the Chaurasi Temple complex in the evening.
  • You will trek to Brahmani Temple, visit the 2,800-meter-high Brahmani Mata temple and holy pool, and then return to Bharmour for the night.
  • Drive to Hudsar, which is the last point for transportation. From there, you will start your trek to Dhancho, which is a lovely campsite surrounded by waterfalls and meadows. You will spend the night in tents and enjoy the campfire.
  • Explore Manimahesh Lake, which is the highlight of the trek. You will witness the enchanting beauty of the lake and the peak, and feel the divine presence of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. You can also take a dip in the lake if you wish. You will then trek back to Dhancho for another night in tents.
  • Trek to Hudsar and drive back to Chamba. Visit Laxmi Narayan Temple, Bhuri Singh Museum, and Rang Mahal in Chamba. Stay overnight in a hotel in Chamba.
  • You will drive back to Pathankot via Khajjiar and Dalhousie, which are popular hill stations known for their scenic beauty and charm. You will reach Pathankot by evening and board your train or bus back home.
