About 3 Days Trek to Karen and Lahu Village with Stay:

  • Your day will start with a convenient pick-up at your hotel. You will be picked up by a friendly and knowledgeable guide who will accompany you throughout the trip.
  • After the pickup, we will drive for approximately one hour to reach the local market in the north of Chiang Mai, in the Maetang district. 
  • Next, we will visit the stunning Mokfa waterfall. You will have the chance to swim and relax in the refreshing waters while taking in the beautiful surroundings. Lunch at a local restaurant:
  • After enjoying the waterfall, we will head to a nearby local restaurant for lunch. You can sample some delicious Thai cuisine while taking in the local ambiance.
  • The next part of the trip involves a 3-4 hour trekking tour through the jungle. 
  • At the top of the mountain, you will have an incredible view of the jungle and the mountains. This will be a great opportunity to take some memorable photos and soak in the beauty of the natural surroundings.
  • After the trek, we will arrive at a Karen Village. Here, you will meet your host family, who will prepare a delicious meal for you. You can expect to sample some authentic Thai cuisine while enjoying the company of your host family.
  • After dinner, you can enjoy your evening around a fire. This will be a great opportunity to relax and unwind after a day of adventure. You can chat with your guide and host family and learn more about the local culture and traditions.

Know Before You Go to 3 Days Trek to Karen and Lahu Village with Stay:

  • For the hike, you must use safe hiking shoes.
  • For the bamboo raft and the village stay, suggest wearing slippers or sandals.
  • Pullover (since the village can get chilly), backpack, t-shirt(s), bathrobe, towel, wearing long, short trousers Sunscreen, a raincoat (particularly between June and October, when monsoon season occurs), torch, repellent for mosquitoes Personal care products and toilet paper Shampoo, toothpaste, and soap
  • I would suggest packing the following goods for our trek: towels, toilet paper, flip flops or sandals, hiking boots or shoes, insect repellent (it becomes chilly at night), a jacket (it gets cold), a torch, and a swimming suit. -There is no electricity in the village, and the restrooms are outhouses.
  • For the evenings in the village, I would suggest bringing long trousers. You may, however, don shorts for the walk.
  • Beer, water, and Coca-Cola are available for purchase in the village. In keeping with the custom of the community, there are shower facilities as well, although there is no hot water.
  • In the room, we supply a mattress, blankets, pillows, and a mosquito net for your bed.
  • I would advise leaving the non-essential goods in your hotel room or in the car. Please only bring what you need because you will have to carry your items.
  • While on the traditional bamboo rafting, we supply a waterproof bag for your convenience. You are welcome to bring your camera, phone, and other electronic devices.
