About the Bhimashankar Jungle

  • One of the nation's 12 Jyotirlingas, the Bhimashankar Temple, is the reason for Bhimashankar's fame. It is also well-known among those who enjoy animals because it contains a stunning wildlife refuge where Indian Giant Squirrels and a few endangered bird species can be found.
  • Moreover, the routes to the place are dedicated to many steep slopes and also go through scary woodland which gives a great taste thrilling and excitement. It is also best suited for mountain lovers and nature lovers to get attracted to the place.


About the Activity

  • A large number of forts, hills, rock climbing areas, flowing waterfalls, scenic lakes, and streams can be found in the Bhimashankar trekking area.
  • After the monsoons begin, the scenery changes to something quite spectacular and the damp canopies let the winds to blow in, the valley openings and forts are covered in wildflowers, and clouds descend to the ground to cover the soil.
  • A streamlet trail descends from the temple's left side. Through that path, we enter a dense jungle and take around 25 minutes to reach the Sakshi Vinayak temple.
  • The "water carved" "Shiva Linga" is located beneath this waterfall and can be reached by a path leading toward the waterfall to the temple's left. The Gupt Bhimashankar is what this is known as.
  • As you cross Paddar Killa - Padargad, you see a glimpse of the past.
