About Kothaligad Fort:

  • Kothaligad Fort or also known as Peth Fort is a hill fort perched up at an elevation of 3100 ft in the Raigad District of Maharashtra. Embraced by the valleys and Sahyadri Mountain Range, Kothaligad is a complete package of historical stories and spirituality with a twist of adventure and an abundance of natural beauties. 
  • Kothaligad Fort served as a watchtower to guard the Konkan Region and keep an eye on the trade route near Karjat. The fort also houses a Cave, Peth Shahi, whose intricate rock cuttings and carvings will leave you stunned. Petheshwar, a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva is also present near the cave showering its visitors with blessings.
