Thekkady is 4 kilometers from Kumily, a plantation town on the border of Tamil Nadu and Kerala. The sanctuary is well-known for its extensive savanna grasslands and evergreen forests.
Elephants, wild boar, leopards, will dogs, and monkeys are just a few of the 62 animals in the park. We did not see any animals throughout the two hours of walking, but we did see a lot of birds.
