About Irshalgad Fort:
- Sister fort to Prabalgad, Irshalgad Fort is located in between Matheran and Panvel in Maharashtra.
- The fort was built under Maratha rule when Chattrapati Shivaji had captured the region of Kalyan.
- The Fort was used as a watchtower in the earlier times, as it was easy to keep a track of movements of enemies from above the Fort.
- Irshalghad is thought to have a Nedhe, which in Maratha means a natural hole in the mountain.
- You get to see beautiful views of Morbe dam, Karnala fort etc from this point.
About the Activity:
- Come to the given meeting location which is, SGNP main gate, Borivali. Your instructor will give you details about the trek and rules and regulations to be followed.
- Soon after that, reach the base village and meet your teammates.
- After you have reached the base village, have breakfast and head out for the trek.
- Enjoy the view for a day, and head back to the base village in the evening.
- Soon after that, you will travel to Mumbai.
- Your trek ends here with beautiful memories.

By Train:The nearest railway station is Vir Dasgaon Railway Station(VEER) in Veer, located at 40 KM distance from Raigad. This station provides it a better connectivity with other major cities.
