About the Destination: 

  • Hampta Pass in Himachal is one of the rare, not-so travelled place, which makes it even more thrilling. On one side, you can see the Kullu valley, with its beautiful flowers, trees, grasslands and on the other side is Lahaul, which has scarce vegetation.
  • The early months, notably mid May- mid June, see quite some amount of snowfall which makes it much more interesting.
  • What people find amazing is how the landscape changes every single day here.


About the Activity: 

  • The trek begins from Delhi. From Delhi, your first destination is Manali. You will drive to Jobra after reaching Manali. As you drive to Chika, you will go across small rive crossings which makes the trip much more joyful. As you reach Chika, you will be mesmerised by the beautiful surroundings with mountains and valleys and here you will learn how to pitch your own tent.
  • After having breakfast on the next day, start your journey to Balu ka Ghera. The experience of trekking here is what makes the entire journey worth it. Once you reach Balu ka Ghera, its time to relax. Few activities will also be organized by our team for the trekkers.
  • It is from Balu ka Ghera, that you can see the beautiful view of the Dhauladhar ranges. From here, we travel to the Hampta village, from where hampta pass gets its name and return back to Balu ka ghera.
  • The Next day, we return back to Manali via Jobra. During our Trek, we stop at Chikka to have lunch and then walk to jobra. From Jobra, travellers will be dropped back to Manali.
  • Once you reach Manali, your trek ends with a lot of memories.

How to reach Delhi:

  • By Air: Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) in Delhi is a good option as it handles both domestic and international flights.
  • By Rail: Another option is the New Delhi Railway Station, which is located in Paharganj, near Connaught Place, and is where the majority of trains arrive and depart from Delhi.
  • By Road: Buses are an excellent option because it is well connected to cities like Jaipur, Agra, Alwar, Dehradun, and even Kathmandu, amongst others.

Know Before You Go for Hampta Valley Snow Trek:

  • Climatic conditions in the high altitudes vary from the plains; take adequate time to get adjusted to high altitudes.
  • The management reserves all the right to modify the trek during any emergencies or natural calamities.
  • It is recommended to carry enough warm clothes and the right kind of shoes for the trek.
  • Water is very precious, so conservation is appreciated.
  • Avoid using earphones during the trek; this might hinder your audibility.
  • Avoid using plastic bags and maintain the ecological balance of the destinations.
  • In case, the trek needs to be canceled, the authorities should be informed beforehand.
  • Guidelines issued by the State-Government are to be followed. Social distancing to be maintained. Frequent hand sanitization and use of mask is recommended.
  • Please provide a valid ID at the time of check-in.
  • The exact location will be shared with you post-booking.
  • Professional guide(s) are available to ensure high safety and more information and personal attention which are necessary to appreciate a trek.
  • Neat and clean vehicle for the journey with experienced driver especially for hilly terrains available.
  • All the activities depend upon the weather.
  • Camping is very basic in nature. One must not expect luxuries. Electricity may be available only at a few locations.
  • Mobile & laptop charging points may/may not be available on campsites at a common point.
  • Carry dry snacks/food from home (you will save a lot of money). Carry water bottles with you, so that you can refill them.
  • Keep your luggage minimum; the more you carry, the more you hassle.
  • The trek takes place through an eco-friendly zone; do not encourage littering the local sites or campsites. Travelers littering may be fined.
  • Pay heed to the trek leader and guide in order to enjoy a safe and sound trek.
  • Children below the age of 7 years are not recommended for the Hampta Pass trek.
  • Any personal expenses, items of personal nature, meals not mentioned, etc. will not be in part of the Hampta Pass trek package.

By Air:Kullu - Manali Airport(KUU) (Bhuntar Airport) is the closest airport to Manali. One can take a cab or taxi or private bus to reach desired destination in Manali.

By Road:Roadways are the cheapest and the most convenient means to reach Manali. Both state buses & the private buses connect this city with other major parts of the country like- Delhi, Chandigarh, etc.

By Train:Joginder Nagar Railway Station(JDNX) is the closest railway station to Manali. From the station, one can take a bus or taxi to reach the location.
