Day 1 -Arrive in Manali

  • If you need any adjustments to be done, the mechanic can take care of it once we return to the guesthouse after riding through different types of terrain.
  • Overnight stay at the guesthouse.


Day 3 -Manali to Keylong

  • Wake up early in the morning to ride on the world's highest road ┬¡the Manali-┬¡Leh highway.
  • As soon as you leave Manali, the climb for the 13,051 feet high Rohtang Pass starts.
  • After Rohtang, the road descends into the Chandra valley, passing through Khoksar and on to Tandi and Keylong.
  • Overnight stay is at a guesthouse in Keylong.


Day 4 -Keylong to Sarchu

  • Ride through bad roads, streams, freezing temperatures, small mountain lakes, and breathtaking landscapes.
  • To reach Sarchu, you cross your second high altitude pass, Baralach La, ┬¡at 16,500 feet.
  • After the descent from Baralach ┬¡La pass, the landscape opens up and you will be in the plains of Sarchu.
  • Since Sarchu is snowbound for most of the year, there are no permanent structures here.
  • Stay overnight in Swiss tents.


Day 5 -Sarchu to Leh

  • Enjoy riding through the best stretch on the Manali-┬¡Leh highway, on a roller coaster ride climbing up and down from one Himalayan pass to another.
  • You ride up and down three high altitude passes, Lachlung┬¡ La (16,616 feet), Nakee ┬¡La (15,547 feet), and Taglang La (17,480 feet), the second-highest motor-able pass in the world.
  • You finish the day's ride in the ancient city of Leh.
  • Stay overnight in Swiss tents.


Day 6 -Resting in Leh

  • Take a breather from the grueling ride you have had from Manali.
  • You are free to explore various parts of the Leh city like the Namgyal Palace, Tibetan market, and Shanti Stupa.
  • Visit various monasteries.


Day 7 -Leh to Pangong Tso Lake

  • Ride through the third highest motor-able pass in the world, the Chang La pass at 17,586 feet.
  • After the descent from Chang┬¡ La, the magical plains of Changthang open up.
  • Get the real treat of 135 km long Pangong Tso lake, where one can spend hours looking at the ever-changing colors.
  • You spend the night on the banks of the lake.


Day 8 -Pangong Tso Lake to Leh

  • Ride for a few kilometers along the Pangong lake where very few tourists visit.
  • Post that, you retrace our ride back to Leh.


Day 9 -Leh to Hunder via Khadulg la Pass

  • Take the road to the highest motorable pass in the world, Khardung La, at a dizzy height of 18,380 feet.
  • After celebrating at Khardung La pass, you descend into the Nubra valley - a unique landscape of desert, rivers, snowcapped mountains, and farms.
  • Under town in Nubra valley lies amidst big sand dunes and small streams.
  • You stay at a guesthouse that serves food from their own vegetable garden.


Day 10 -Hunder to Nimmu

  • Retrace your ride and cross the mighty Khardung La pass again to reach Nimmu on the Srinagar-Leh highway.


Day 11 -Nimmu to Kargil

  • Ride on the smooth Srinagar-Leh highway passing the ancient Lamayuru monastery.
  • Then you cross over two very beautiful passes, Namika La and Fotu La and pass by the rock sculpture of the Maitreya Buddha at Mulbek before reaching the famous town of Kargil.


Day 12 -Kargil to Srinagar

  • Riding through the historic road from Kargil to Srinagar is a delight to ride on, with majestic views, green villages, and raging rivers alongside.
  • The real test of the ride, Zoji La pass at 11,575 feet, overlooks the beautiful mountains of Sonmarg on one side and the high altitude Ladakh region on the other.
  • The constant landslides at the pass mean that we ride through mud and broken roads.
  • Spend the night with a lavish party at the houseboat in the beautiful Dal lake.


Day 13 -Depart from Srinagar

  • Bid farewell to the Himalayas and your riding buddies and head home after a ride of a lifetime.
  • End of trip.
